Mainly sunny and a tad warmer

Very cold to start the day.  Temperatures across the region are in the teens as of 7am with a few spots in most rural sections down in the single digits.  A light wind with a bit of snow cover has made for some ideal radiational cooling.  Temps will warm pretty quickly once the sun comes up.  It will be a very nice day overall with a lot of sun with some high cloudiness.  Compared to how its been the past several days, today will feel like a warm-up.  In fact, some areas especially south of the city may actually hit the freezing mark for the first time in almost a week.  But overall highs will range from the upper 20's to lower 30's, cooler north.

Clouds begin to increase by evening as a warm front will be approaching the region and high pressure moves offshore.  Some light precipitation in the form of snow and sleet will move in late tonight and during the overnight hours for areas well north and west of the city.  Winter Weather Advisories are already posted for these counties in PA.

Though the precipitation will be light, we'll see a wintry mess tomorrow as the warm front moves through the region, first bringing snow, then ice, with an eventual changeover to rain as the warm air takes over.
